A musician whose concept I - to be absolutely honest - have been struggling with for a while. Like Cecil Taylor's music, there's tremendous depth in Joe Maneri's work, but I'm not completely there yet.

However, it's so sad to hear of his death. I'll let someone who does understand his work say some far more effective words:
